Torsion Springs

Torsion Springs provide resistance to torsion (rotational or twisting forces).   As the spring is twisted the inside diameter decreases, the body length increases, and more force is required to twist it further.

Because of the nature of the spring, design clearance needs to be carefully considered as the size and length changes in use.
