Garter Springs

Garter Springs provide clamping force around something, often as radial shaft seals by maintaining force against elastomer seals to keep them tight against the rotating shaft.  This type of spring is an endless spring and involves a helical extension or compression spring being connected at the ends, forming a circle.

We have extensive knowledge and experience in the use of and requirements for seal springs.  Our wire sizes cater for all oil seal requirements and on request, we can produce large wire size garter springs to any length required.
